May 11th 2009, It was my last week of 6th grade. Football was right around the corner, I was already starting to train and prepare for the upcoming season. My dream of getting an athletic scholarship was starting to take form and I had more and more high school coaches at my little league games talking to my mom and grandma about where I planned on going.

My friend and I were racing down the dirt roads in my grandmas neighborhood in Marana. All that could be heard around entire neighborhood was the growl of our dirt bikes. As we approached the last stop sign before my grandmas house, Jimmy started slowing down and i blew passed him. Once I was able to see around him I could see why he was slowing down. By the time i saw the 1994 Dodge Dakota barreling down the road there was no way I'd be able to stop in time. I skid into the intersection, was hit by the truck, and was now stuck underneath it, unconscious.
